Hiz Kidz

Our children’s ministry at Rocky Mount Church of God is called Hiz Kidz, because that’s exactly who we want to be - children of the King! It’s a reminder that our lives are not our own, but we belong to a loving, caring Father who has a special calling for each child’s life. It is my desire to see every child come to know Him and to develop their own close, personal relationship with the Lord. Scripture says that we are to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” As a mother and a Children’s Pastor, I take this instruction from the Lord very seriously. God has laid on my heart the importance of instilling His Word and principles into the hearts and lives of our children from the very start. It is my desire to see each child learn how they play an important part in God’s kingdom and to discover the individual calling that the Lord has for each and every one of them.  

It is my goal and my vision to see Hiz Kidz ministry reach out and bring in the harvest; I believe that children do not have to wait until they are older in order to serve the Lord, but rather, God is calling them to serve Him now and is using their willing hearts and their talents for His glory.  Many of our children, while they are in school or while engaging in sports and activities, come in contact with other children in our community who are hurting, broken, and who have been abused and neglected; these children need to know the love of Jesus. We have the opportunity to bring healing to the broken and hope to the hopeless; that’s precisely why it is our goal and mission to impact the lives of the children in our community for Christ. There is nothing more precious than a child who loves Jesus!

Vacation Bible School

Join us July 29 - August 2, 2024, from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM for Vacation Bible School! VBS will be for ALL AGES! We will be having groups rotate between stations, including: Bible, Snacks, Games, and More! While your child is enjoying VBS, feel free to join us in the class in the Sanctuary just for our adults.
